They are people, too. Once you accept this fact, your ordeal will be much easier. Treat them nicely, and they might do the same.

Frankly, maybe you should. The IRS has tremendous power to collect when you owe them. But they will not put you in jail - in case you were worried.

Some IRS letters are relatively harmless; others can mean trouble. Do you know which is which, and when it is time to press the panic button?

The chances of an IRS audit are very small. And even if it's your luck, there is no reason to panic. Not if you are prepared, that is.

This dreaded IRS program was discontinued in mid 90's. And now, I assume "by popular demand", it is back. Not much we can do about it.
